I have a special place in my heart for my Purbeck Pullover, published in Knitscene Winter 2014. It was my very first sweater design - my very first! It was exciting to have my first garment accepted, and challenging to struggle my way through my first garment. I've learned a tremendous amount about designing garments since then, and as such, wanted to improve upon this design, which remains a favorite of mine. It is my perfect chilly day cardigan (I LOVE a good cowl neck!) but needed a few tweaks to make it even better. The first one is still available, and still wearable, but I've streamlined it a bit, improved the fit, and worked it up in a different yarn. I think The Fibre Co. Terra is a divine fit for this piece and the lovely drape adds to the cozy-ness and comfort factor. Purbeck Deux is seamlessly from the top down, with short rows worked at the hem for a drop hem. Stitches are picked up for the cowl neck. In short, this could be an excellent first sweater for someone who is ready to jump into garments, or a quick knit for that perfect cuddle sweater!
